Partnerships & Collaborators

These are the Quaker organizations that focus on religious education among Friends.

Religious education is a public ministry, and RE and outreach go hand in hand!

Faith & Play Stories

For more than 20 years, Faith & Play Stories have been shared in circles of children, adults, and multi-age communities to explore Quaker faith, practice and witness. Play is children’s practice, hence the name Faith & Play deriving from the Quaker books of discipline: Faith and Practice.

Faith & Play was created as a Quaker supplement to Godly Play stories, and is intended for the storyteller trained in the Godly Play method.

I am co-author and editor of the stories, share them in schools and programs for Friends, and serve as the Director of Communication and Training for Faith & Play Stories, Inc.

Quaker Religious Education Collaborative

The Quaker Religious Education Collaborative (QREC) is an international, cross-branch, grassroots network of Friends sharing a stewardship for lifelong Quaker faith formation through religious education.

Formed in April 2014, QREC’s network actively engages and supports each other across languages and continents. Friends gather for regional and annual conferences, offer monthly Conversation Circles via an online conferencing platform, and shares a monthly e-newsletter with resources and events.

I was a co-founder of QREC, serve on the governance Steering Circle, and publish the monthly e-newsletter, “Tote Bag”
